This FAQ explains how billing, seats, pricing, and upgrades work in tamato.


Plans & Seats

What is a seat in tamato?

A seat represents one licensed user in tamato.

Each seat allows one user to access tamato according to their assigned role (for example: Admin, Technician, or Employee).


How much does a seat cost?

Please check the pricing on tamato's websitearrow-up-right.

Billing cycle is monthly or annual.


How are seats charged?

Seats are charged based on:

  • The number of seats selected

  • Package selected (standard or premium)

If 0 seats are selected, the total price remains €0.00, and checkout cannot be completed.


When does billing start?

  • Billing always starts at the beginning of the month

  • Each subscription runs for a full year

Example:

  • Billing Cycle: 01.02.2026 – 31.01.2027

  • Next Billing Cycle: 01.02.2027 – 31.01.2028

These dates are visible during checkout and in the Billing section.


What does “Discount (Unused days in the current month)” mean?

If you add seats after the start of a month, tamato automatically applies a prorated discount.

This discount:

  • Covers unused days of the current month

  • Is calculated based on the Total Contract Value (TCV)

This ensures you only pay for the actual time the seats are in use.


Billing Cycle & Charges

Your payment method is charged after you validate the payment and complete the order.

All future renewals are charged automatically at the start of each billing cycle.


Does my subscription renew automatically?

Yes. Annual subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date.

Your access remains active until the end of the paid billing period.


Taxes & Invoices

Why is VAT applied?

VAT is calculated based on your country and tax status.

Example:

  • Germany: 19% VAT

The final total shown before checkout always includes VAT.


Will I receive an invoice?

Yes.

  • Invoices are generated automatically

  • They are sent to your billing email

  • They are available for download in the Billing section


In which currency will I be charged?

All charges are processed in EUR (€) unless otherwise stated.


Seat Changes & Flexibility

Can I add seats later?

Yes. You can add seats at any time.

  • Additional seats are prorated for the current billing period

  • Pricing adjustments are shown transparently before confirmation


Can I remove seats?

Yes.

  • Seat removals take effect in the next billing cycle

  • Your current subscription remains unchanged until renewal


Payment Method & Security

Why do I see a €0.00 / $0.00 validation charge?

This is a temporary authorization used to verify your payment method.

It is not a real charge and may briefly appear on your bank statement.


Can I change my payment method later?

Yes. You can update your payment method at any time in the Billing section.


Is my payment information secure?

Yes. Payments are handled by a certified payment provider.

tamato does not store full card details and follows industry security standards.


Cancellation & Support

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes. You can cancel at any time.

Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.


Are refunds available?

Annual plans are generally non-refundable, but access continues until the paid term ends.


What happens if a payment fails?

If a payment fails:

  • You will be notified

  • A grace period applies

  • Access is only restricted if payment issues remain unresolved
